Studiul s-a efectuat pe un lot de 100 bolnavi cu plagi vechi, neglijate, cu defecte de vindecare, prezentand numeroase detritusuri necrotice si secretii abundente, contaminate cu bacterii Gram pozitive si negative (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, S. aureus). Lotul a fost impartit in mod egal in doua esantioane: primul reprezentat de bolnavi la care s-a aplicat tratament cu pansamente imbibate in solutie de 5% acid acetic si al doilea esantion, bolnavi care nu au beneficiat de acest tratament (martor). Bacteria izolata si identificata in conditii de laborator a fost testata la acidul acetic pentru stabilirea CMB.

Rezultatele clinice obtinute la lotul test comparativ cu martorul evidentiaza atat efectul bactericid cat si efectul detersant al acidului acetic asupra plagilor vechi cu resturi necrotice suprainfectate.

The study has been done on a group of 100 patients with old neglected wounds, with defects of healing having numerous dead detrita and abundent secretions, contaminated with positive and negative Gram bacteria (Pseudomonas aeruginosa, E. coli, Klebsiella, Proteus, Citrobacter, Enterobacter, S. aureus). The group has been divided equally in two samples, the first represented by the patients to whoman a treatment with imbued dressing in solution of 5% acetic acid has been applied and the second sample comprises patients who didn't benefit by this treatment. The isolated and identified bacterium in laboratory conditions has been tested at acetic acid for establishing BMC. The clinical results obtained at test group in comparison with the witness point out both the bactericidal and the dead eliminating effect of the acetic acid over the old wounds with dead over- infected remounts.
