Hemangiomul poate sa apara in copilaria precoce sau mai tarziu de-a lungul vietii. Hemangiomul cavernos afecteaza dermul profund si tesutul subcutanat. Portiunea subcutanata a hemangiomului cavernos este adesea mai preminenta decat partea superficiala a acestuia. Atunci cand afecteaza membrele inferioare, poate imbraca un aspect verucos.

Prezentam cazul unui pacient in varsta de 41 de ani cu un hemangiom cavernos cu verucozitati, localizat la nivelul antepiciorului drept. malformatia izolata, fara alte simptome de insotire era asimptomatica, moale si compresibila. Nu s-au decelat modificari radiologice la nivelul oaselor picioarelor iar investigatiile facute in scopul de a gasi hemangioame cu alte localizari au fost negative. Angiografic s-au pus in evidenta numeroase fistule arterio-venoase. In scopul de a evita sangerarea locala nu s-a efectuat biopsie cutanata. Pentru ca leziunea nu a suferit modificari semnificative pe parcursul vietii bolnavului si nu era considerata un handicap nu s-a recurs la un tratament radical.

Hemangiomas tend to become manifest early in childhood, although could appear later in the life. The cavernous hamangioma is situated deep in the dermis and subcutneous fat. The subcutaneous potion of the cavernous hemangioma is often more proeminent than the superficial part of it. When involves the lower extremities becomes verrucous.

It is presented a 41 years old male with a cavernous hemangioma of the right foot with verrucous changes. It was an asimptomathic, solitary, soft enlarging and compressible bluish-red vascular tumour. There were no X-ray changes and no other hemangioma were detected. Multiple arterio-venous fistulas were present on the angiografy. No biopsy was performed in order to avoid bleeding. Radical treatment wasn't necessary because the lesion was stabile.
